Whether you’re a motorsport enthusiast or not, a holiday to experience a Grand Prix in either Abu Dhabi or Qatar is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There is so much more to Formula One than just racing, being at a race you experience the noise, the excitement, the fans, and we bet you will even be able to sense the rivalry in the air. Everyone should experience a Grand Prix holiday in their lifetime and, regardless of who crosses the finish line first- we can guarantee you will have an incredible trip.
So, are you unsure of how to go about actually booking an F1 holiday? Here at Value Added Travel we offer unique Grand Prix holidays to both Abu Dhabi and Qatar that allow you to experience both the race, and a luxurious stay at the same time.
The 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
If the thought of experiencing an Abu Dhabi Grand Prix takes your fancy, then look no further than our Abu Dhabi F1 Holidays from the 23rd – 27th November 2023. Abu Dhabi is renowned for being perhaps the most exciting race on the F1 calendar – you will begin the days in the beaming sunshine and end it watching fireworks illuminate the sky. Located on the Yas Marina Circuit – drivers will either have their dreams of winning an Abu Dhabi Grand Prix made, or completely crushed as they race through challenging conditions and one of the longest straights on any F1 track.
On the first day of the Grand Prix, Friday 25th November, you will watch the drivers practice – you have two opportunities on the Friday to watch this between 9:30-10:30am and 1-2pm. On the Saturday the real competitiveness comes alive as you watch the drivers final practise between 10:30 – 11:30am and then the qualifying which is between 2-3pm. Then, Sunday 26th November, the main event takes place at 1pm, although most people arrive in plenty of time to join in on the pre “lights out” excitement.
Where to stay during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
We feature four luxury hotel options for your stay during the Abu Dhabi F1, each package offering flights, 4 nights, bed and breakfast and 3 days north grandstand tickets. What more could you want?
Choose from the following hotels for your Abu Dhabi stay: Traders Hotel, Sofietel Abu Dhabi Corniche, The Abu Dhabi Edition, and the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort. Additionally, if you have any spare time throughout your stay Abu Dhabi has some extremely fascinating attractions that you can visit including- Ferrari World (which is very fitting), the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, or even Yas Waterworld. There is so much to do in Abu Dhabi for any age range if you do want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the F1- which we very much doubt!
The 2023 Qatar Grand Prix
On the other hand, if the thought of experiencing a Qatar Grand Prix floats your boat, then we also have you covered- or, why not do both? The Grand Prix takes place on the 5.38km Losail International Circuit. This circuit is relatively new to the Formula One world with the first ever F1 race being held here in 2021. However, the circuit is already well known for its association with the world of two wheeled racing and has hosted the MotoGP series ever since 2004.
Upon arriving in Qatar, you will want to head straight to the track to experience the first practise laps from the drivers which you can see between 2:30 - 3:30pm. After a few hours of experiencing all that the F1 Village has to offer- you will want to head straight back to your seats to watch qualifying between the hours of 6-7pm. On Saturday 7th October between the hours of 2:30 – 3:30pm you can watch the driver’s final practice laps before their sprint race at 6:30 – 7:30pm. You will then want to make sure you get enough rest ahead of the big day on 8th October for the main race which begins at 6pm.
Where to stay during the Qatar Grand Prix
Qatar’s F1 begins on the 6th October and each of our featured hotel packages include flights, a 3-night stay with bed and breakfast and 3 days north grandstand tickets.
