A Masai Mara Safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife including the Big Five and rich cultural heritage to explore. Kenya’s Masai Mara is without doubt one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. Between July - October thing get busy in the Great Rift Valley. Millions of Zebra and Widebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake come a veritable horde of predators including lion and leopard.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi
Arrive Nairobi – Transfer and overnight in Hilton hotel
Day 2 - Nairobi - Masai Mara
Pick up from your place either airport or Nairobi hotel then be transferred to meet the group (joining group safari) and later depart to Masai Mara Game Reserve at 8:30am via the view-point of the western Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch and refueling. Your journey deepens into the Masai plains, arriving at the camp at around 2pm. You will start the first introduction game drive in the afternoon tracking various animal species and birds which inhabit here. Dinner and overnight provided. Lenchada, Rhino Tented Camp or similar.
Day 3 - Masai Mara
Your days starts with the breakfast at the camp/lodge and by 8am you'll leave with picnic lunches for extensive game drive. Today you will see all the Big 5. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. A game drive to Mara river which is point of Migration and point to spot the crocodiles and hippopotamus is always emphasized by our guides. Break for your picnic lunch after viewing the hippos and crocodile. The game drive will continue till 4pm, at what time you will have the option to leave the park for 2 hours. There will be optional activities such as a visit to Maasai Village. Dinner and overnight accommodation provided. Lenchada, Rhino Tented Camp or similar.
Day 4 - Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive to track the wildcats as they hunt and kill. At 9:30am head back to the lodge/camp for a full breakfast, later depart the Mara region for Lake Nakuru with lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon for check-in and your rest. Lenchada, Rhino Tented Camp or similar.
Day 5 - Lake Nakuru - Nairobi
After breakfast you will enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru and feast your eyes with sightings of flamingos, often referred to as the “Pink Lake”. Other animals that can be sighted in the park including the Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon, and several other species of plains game.
After lunch, you will depart for Nairobi for your onward connection to Dubai.
Arrive Dubai – transfer to Hotel.
Day 6 – Day 9 - Dubai at leisure
4 days at V Hotel Dubai at leisure
Day 10
After breakfast transfer to Dubai airport for your flight to London
