Itinerary

With 49 well-appointed Rooms including 7 Luxury Suites, aha Harbour Bridge Hotel & Suites has facilities that cater to business and leisure travellers alike. The Suites have an additional lounge area and a fully equipped kitchenette, making it ideal for guests wishing to maintain their daily regimes, or for families who travel during the holiday season.

While the Rooms and Suites each have their own en-suite bathroom and provide every optimum comfort, guests may also make use of services designed to ensure absolute relaxation 24 hours a day. The Canal Café boasts beautiful views of the canal and treats guests to a contemporary menu with a variety of simple, stylish and truly satisfying dishes.

Ilala Lodge is situated close to the Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, shops, markets and nearby restaurants. Wild animals are often seen grazing the hotel lawns as the National Park borders the front of the property.

A variety of room types are offered at Ilala Lodge. The 73 rooms are made up of standard rooms, standard suites, deluxe rooms and executive suites, set out in four different wings of the lodge. All rooms have a private balcony, mini bar fridge, international plugs/ adaptors, wireless internet, in-room safe, tea/coffee self-service, air conditioning, overhead fans and satellite television.

There is an à la carte restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a comprehensive wine list and cocktails. Dining outside under the African night sky amidst the sound of the mighty waterfall makes for a very romantic evening. The beautifully decorated lounge and two swimming pool areas invite guests to unwind and take in the tropical gardens.

The hotel also offers an in-house activity booking office for guest’s convenience.

Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the famous Chobe River is Chobe Elephant Camp. This uniquely designed lodge has been built to take advantage of the incredible views overlooking the sweeping floodplains while offering a comfortable refuge from the harsh African conditions.

The lodge has been entirely constructed from sandbags, the thick sand-filled walls create a natural insulating barrier between the inhabitants and the harsh African climate and enhance the old farm-style feel of the camp. It houses sixteen rooms, two family rooms and can sleep 36 guests at a time.

Activities include viewing the regions spectacular wildlife from open safari vehicles and by boat on the Chobe River as well as a cultural visit. Chobe Elephant Camp’s seasonal boat jetty is about one hours drive from camp, close to Ihaha in the heart of the Chobe National Park. This jetty is usually operational from May until September, but when water levels are not adequate at the jetty, guests staying two nights or more will still be able to enjoy boat cruises departing from Kasane.

Sango Safari Camp is nestled in the shade of the trees overlooking the Khwai River. Situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Khwai and on the border of Moremi Game Reserve, the camp offers guests the perfect base from which to explore the wildlife and culture of this unique habitat.

Accommodating 12 guests in 6 en-suite meru tents, Sango Safari Camp is designed in the style of the classic tented safari camp of days gone by. Hand crafted furnishings and classic styling successfully blend the rustic with the luxurious to recreate the atmosphere of the luxury mobile safari camp. Each guest tent has its own private outdoor shower with solar heated geysers for piping hot water. The main area comprises a dining and lounge area where guests can relax and enjoy meals, as well as a viewing deck and plunge pool for whiling away the hours during siesta.

With the Khwai River forming a natural border between the world famous Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai Concession, animals can travel freely through this vast unfenced wilderness. Situated on the river overlooking the Moremi and with access to both these magnificent wildlife areas. The camp’s location allows guests to take advantage of a host of wildlife activities which include open vehicle game drives both in the Moremi and in the Khwai concession area, guided bush walks, night drives and mokoro trips.

With a combination of permanent water, seasonal floodplains, open grasslands, riverine forests, and dry woodlands this incredibly rich habitat supports a diversity and abundance of mammals and birds rarely matched in northern Botswana. Sango Safari Camp invites you to share in this bounty.

Airstrip Transfer Time: 30 minutes

ZAMBEZI CRUISE: Put your feet up, sip a sundowner as the light gently fades, and let our tranquil wildlife cruise float you along the Zambezi River above the Falls. You'll have the finest vantage point from which to watch hippo, crocodiles and other animals which come down to the river's edge in the early evening, to slake their thirst. Enjoy your cocktail and snacks while captivated by the sun's dying rays as they cast a burnt orange glow which shimmers on the river. Take another sip in this golden setting.

VICTORIA FALLS TOUR: *No surprise why Victoria Falls is one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. You'll understand it instantly as we tour the Zimbabwean side, for there are numerous spectacular vantage points along the width of the Falls, and the sight of this astounding gift of nature, simply takes your breath away. Walk through the permanent, beautifully misty rain forest which flanks the Falls, stopping to marvel at the principal sites as it cascades to the depths below the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island.
