Early breakfast and you will start your descent into the 270 sq km Ngorongoro crater for a game drive with picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. It is a great way to start your African Safari adventure.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the best place in Tanzania to see 'The Big Five'. A healthy population of black rhino and some of the largest tusker elephants left in Africa today are the prize spots, but the crater is also home to good populations of lion, leopard and hyena along with herds of wildebeest, buffalo and zebra. Other wildlife here includes serval cat, cheetah, jackal, Grant's and Thompson's gazelle, flamingo and bat-eared foxes, as well as approximately 400 species of bird. A Ngorongoro safari is action packed to say the least - and for a relatively small park, it really does have the highest concentration of wildlife of any one place in the whole of Africa.

The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include: game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara, arriving for lunch at the Lodge. In the afternoon, game drive through the Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats supporting an array of wildlife .

Animals to spot include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, warthog, the Cape clawless otter, and the Egyptian mongoose. Return transfer to Arusha Town (approx 2hrs).
Lunch & transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your short flight to Zanzibar.
