Tour Itinerary

Begin with Darjeeling, one of the most beautiful and oldest Hill stations of India. Set amidst undulating tea gardens, it offers mesmerizing scenic beauty and a great location. It is the jewel in the crown of the Eastern Himalayas and offers spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges including Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga. Then to Sikkim, a small independent kingdom until 1973, Sikkim the 22nd State of India is known for its strategic location and as one of the last Himalayan `Shangri-La`, its climate, natural beauty and the fine cultural heritage attracts tourist from all over the globe

Day 01: Depart For Delhi

Day 02 : Arrive Delhi

Arrive into Delhi. Welcome and transfer to the hotel.
The colour & romance of India greets you as you disembark from your plane in Delhi - one of the most historic capitals in the world adorned with many monuments from the bygone era, with the most notable being, the Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and the Red Fort, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is also amongst the greenest capitals. For a visitor, it serves as a perfect introduction to the cultural wealth, the complexities and dynamism of India. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi / Bagdogra / Darjeeling

In the morning, transfer to the airport for flight to Bagdogra. Arrive in Bagdogra and continue by road towards Darjeeling, queen of the mountains, through a landscape of wooded hills and tea plantations. Arrive in Darjeeling and proceed to the hotel. Rest of the day free to walk around and relax. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 04: Darjeeling

Early morning, visit the highest spot in the area at 2590m, Tiger Hill, near Ghoom, about 11km from Darjeeling. The hill is famous for its magnificent views at dawn overlooking Kanchenjunga and other eastern Himalayan peaks. On a clear day even Mount Everest is visible. Then, visit the Observatory hill & Tibetian refugee camp. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 05: Darjeeling / Pemayangtse

Next morning, proceed for Pemayangtse. Here, the mighty Kanchenjunga overlooks the land of Sikkim. Pemayangtse in Sikkim, nestles close to Kanchenjunga. Pemayangtse is 6000 ft above sea level and it is where one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries is located. The Pemayangtse monastery is the second oldest monastery in Sikkim and is the headquarters of the Nyingma sect. Overnight in Pemayangtse.

Day 06: Pemayangtse / Gangtok

Following morning, proceed to Gangtok. The state of Sikkim lies in the shadow of the mighty Kanchenjunga. Its capital, Gangtok, is a picturesque mountain clinging town with monasteries, parks, pagoda style houses and colourful bazars. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 07: Gangtok - Phodung – Gangtok

In the morning, visit the Monastery at Phodung. Enroute, photo stop to get panoramic views of the Himalayas. Later, return to Gangtok. In the afternoon, visit the research institute of Tibetology, where one can find splendid old books, objects sacrings, superbly painted tankas etc. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 08: Gangtok - Tashiding – Gangtok

Next morning, proceed for an excursion to Tashiding Monastery. Perched on top of the hill, it overhangs between the two rivers of Rathong and Rangit and is surrounded by a profusion of flags of prayers. Overnight.

Day 09: Gangtok

Today we visit the many sights of Gangtok beginning with the Chorten, Deer park, Enchey Monastery, Orchid Sanctuary, Tashi View Point, Dharma Chakra Centre (Rumtek) and Saramsa Garden. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 10: Gangtok / Kalimpong

Following morning, proceed to Kalimpong. Situated at an altitude of 1250 metres between the Deolo and Durbindra Hills, Kalimpong is an ideal place for a quiet holiday amidst gently rolling hills and deep valleys at the foot of the mighty Himalayas. Upon arrival check in at hotel. In the afternoon, visit Durpin Dara; Flower nurseries Gouripur House; Swiss Welfare Dairy & Tibetan Monastery. Overnight in Kalimpong.

Day 11: Kalimpong / Bagdogra / Delhi (Flight)

Next morning, travel to Bagdogra airport to catch your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour of New Delhi, driving past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace and the diplomatic area. Rest of the day is free to discover the city by yourself. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 12: Delhi / Next Destination

Morning, depart for the airport. Assistance with check in formalities. Take-off for your next destination.
