Itinerary
Day 01 - UK
Depart from the UK on your overnight flight to Sri Lanka.
Day 02 - Airport/ Negombo
Upon arrive, meet & greet by our representative at Bandaranaike International Airport and proceed to Negombo.
Dinner & overnight stay at Jetwing Blue 5*, Negombo.
Day 03 - Negombo/ Pinnawela/ Tirapane
After breakfast proceed to Tirapane. En route visit popular Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. A unique experience never to be missed.
Dinner & Overnight stay at Ulagalla Resort (Boutique), Tirapane.
Day 04 - Tirapane/Sigiriya/Tirapane
After breakfast visit the magnificent Rock Fortress of Sigirya. - Which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). A climb to the top (only for the energetic) will reveal a spectacular view. The gallery of frescoes half way up is definite highlight. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 05 - Tirapane/Anuradhapura/Wilpattu/Tirapane
After breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura is the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. The city’s greatest treasures are its dagabas constructed of small sun-dried bricks and hemispherical in shape. The city’s most renowned relic is the sacred Bo-Tree which is said to have grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment. It was planted 2250 years ago and is the oldest historic tree in the world.
Late afternoon do a Jeep safari to Wilpattu National Park is one the largest and oldest national parks in Sri Lanka. Nearly sixty lakes, which are filled with rainwater, can be found throughout the park. Many species of animals can be found in park; these include elephant, sloth bear, leopard, water buffalo, spotted deer and mongoose.

Day 06 - Tirapane/Dambulla/Matale/Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Kandy. En route visit of Dambulla rock cave temple, where some of the finest preserved ancient frescoes can be found. Dambulla is a World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples.
On arrival to Kandy commence sightseeing including the Upper Lake Drive, Market Square Arts & Crafts Centre and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Evening witness a cultural show featuring various dance types of Sri Lanka.

Day 07 - Kandy
After breakfast commence sightseeing including the Upper Lake Drive, Market Square Arts & Crafts Centre and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Thereafter visit the famous Temple of the Tooth and later afternoon visit the Royal Botanical Gardens ablaze with colourful exotic plants.

Day 08 Kandy/Nuwara Eliya/Ella
After breakfast drive toward the hill country, with a stop en route to visit a tea plantation and factory. Then travel on to Nuwara Eliya, the most celebrated of the hill stations and set in a stunning mountain valley some 6,000 feet above sea level. Afternoon sightseeing, with spectacular views of the beautiful green hillsides, rushing waterfalls and tea plantations.

Day 09 Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast visit (OPTIONAL) Horton Plains - The highest plateau at 7000ft (2134 meters) is a National Park, visited by tourists and a large number of Sri Lanka tourists. The Patnas in the lower parts, rising from the Marshes and streams extends upto the tree-line. The trees, stunted by the wind and mist, covered with ‘Spagnum moss ‘ or old man’s beard, and the jungle is full of rare and endemic plants. The red flowered Rhododendrons, or the ‘Niloos’ that blooms once in 12 years, and the Butterflies, Birds, found only in the hill areas, the ‘Bear Monkey,’ large herds of Sambhur, Leopard and other animals are found in the plains. The ‘World End’ and ‘Little World End” with sheer drops of 3000ft to the plantation below and the beautiful scenery, are not found anywhere else in the country.

Day 10 Ella / Yala
After breakfast proceed to Yala. Check in to the hotel.

This is most famous and well-developed National Park where wild animal and birds could be observed. The wild animals include Elephants in herds of varying sizes, Leopards, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Crocodile, Peacocks, Jackal, Sloth Bear and other animals. The bird-life comprises of about 130 species including the resident and migrants. Painted Strokes, Paradise Flycatcher, Grey Herons, Serpent Eagle, Sea Eagle, Black-Necked Stork, Spoonbills, Pelicans add colour to the bird life in the park

Go Whale watching with the pioneers and the best?The seas around Sri Lanka offer the chance to see Blue Whales in concentrations not seen elsewhere in the world. A concentration of blue whales of this nature is something which whale watchers can only dream about.
Whale and Dolphin watching is an easy sport that you can take up during the months of December to April. All you need to take is a boat, few kilometres from the shore, which we can help you arrange from the hotel. Experienced local guides can show you a good time in watching whales and dolphins off the coast of Mirissa.
